Day 2 - Sunbury,, OH to Broken Arrow, OK

Okay, three words to describe 3/4 of today's mileage - CORN, CORN and more CORN!!!!

There was Ohio Corn:

Indiana Corn

and Illinois Corn!

This one is for you Keenan!!
They were everywhere within a 100 mile radius of Indianapolis as this weekend was the National FFA (Future Farmer's of America) competition.

Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis, IN

Indianapolis, IN

The St. Louis Gateway Arch, MO - was beautiful shining in the sun over the city.

Finally, we hit the hills of Missouri with its rolling farmland, large wineries, and large rock outcroppings scattered throughout.  It really looks a lot like back home.  Lots of trees that are just beginning to change to their fall colors.  Pretty but not as striking as our beautiful orange/red Sugar Maples!

Arrived in Oklahoma tonight to a wonderful display of the most amazing lightening we have ever seen.  It bounced from cloud to cloud and looked like spider webs throughout the sky.  Beautiful!

Left Sunbury at 9:15 AM and arrived in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 10:30 pm. CST (Really 11:30 pm EST).  We have put on 1,200 miles so far and we are HALF way there!!!!!!!

Another 14 hour driving day tomorrow, however, we are sensing that the photo ops will begin to get more exciting.

Check back for more adventures with Thelma and Lewis!!
