Standing on a Corner in Winslow, AZ to Phoenix - Day 4

Okay, so there are no words or pictures that can adequately describe our day of travels today.  Started out at 10:00 from Winslow, AZ.  Couldn't leave without a "Standing on a corner in Winslow, AZ" photo op.

Sparks Shout Out from Winslow, Arizona

"It' a girl my Lord in a flatbed Ford slowing down to take a look at me"!!

This is a shot of Humphrey's Peak in Flagstaff AZ from Winslow, AZ - 60 miles away.  The summit of Humphrey's Peak is 12,633 and is the tallest summit in AZ.  The rest of the pictures are closer shots as we approached Flagstaff.

Even after a summer of 100 plus degree temperature, snow remains at the peak!

While we thought we would have time to hit the Grand Canyon today, we realized that we had to choose one destination due to lack of time (we will hit the Grand Canyon on our way back home).  Because Sedona was on our route, it won and it was truly a winner.  A truly unbelievable trip down through the Coconino National Forest mountain trail and the Red Rocks of Sedona.  We took an abundant amount of pictures and picked a few to share.  The beauty was beyond what words can describe!

For my kids - yup that is a two-lane windy mountain road with a massive canyon cliff on one side and your mother did it!!

Awesome Sedona town center.  Not your typical shopping experience!!!

Sparks Shout Out from Sedona Red Rocks!

Larry finally got out from behind the camera and joined me in a scenic venue.  It's tough when there is only two of you!

Heading South from Sedona to Phoenix was equally as amazing with all of the mountains, tabletop buttes, canyons, basins and the varieties of unusual cactus growth.

With only three hours of drive-time today, the miles were fewer but the memories we made were enormous.

Off on our final leg tomorrow.  Three hours left until we reach Indian Wells, CA - Final Destination.
Wishing my team good flights and happy travels.  See you tomorrow.   GO SPARKS - We've got what it takes and we're taking it to NATIONALS!!
